Adorable story of a little frog and the cutest little fish named Alex, with his cap turned-sideways. Alex is hanging around Leah the frog, his friend in the foamy waters – he asks her over and over, what she wants to be when she grows up. Read this book and see what her answers are. Ms Mitchell’s lovely rhyming book has bright and colorful illustrations and your child will love them as much as we do. Highly recommended.

Just Little Old Me Joyce Mitchell Jayaisuruwi Erandika Books Reviews
My Grands love it!
A lesson in living in the now and not growing up before it is time. My children gave it five stars. Good job.
It's a cute story about possible future jobs for a frog, but she also felt concern for her fish friend. It rhymed, but some of them felt forced and awkward.
This was such a delight to read and the way you put it all together was perfect. I love the rhyming, nothing was off key. Great book!
Cute and simple illustrations with a good story line. "What do you want to be when you get big?" Always good for kids to think about and yet still enjoy the time they have now just being young. Being a grown up will come soon enough. Very cute story.
Just Little Old Me by Joyce Mitchell is the story of two friends, a frog and a fish, talking about what the frog wants to do when she grows up. There are lots of very cute, colorful images to help with your imagination. Kids will love it!
Leah, the frog and Alex the fish have become friends while hanging out together at the pond. While in the process of playing together one day, Alex asks Leah what she hopes to be when she grows up. Leah uses her imagination to come up with some fanciful scenarios. She is sure of one thing; she wants to study and read lots and lots of books before she makes a decision.
Young children spend much of their time wishing they could grow up and move on to some new achievement. This book is a refreshing reminder that we should simply enjoy the moment. Children will learn that they will be most happy by just being true to themselves. This is a delightful rhyming read aloud that will please parents, teachers and early elementary school children.
