First off, I’m in love with this beautiful cover! I mean it couldn’t be any more perfect. Second, this book is amazing! I fell in love right from the start.

Candace is super innocent in every way. It took me a bit to warm up to her, but she was sheltered her whole entire life, so I could actually sympathize with her a bit. She is looking for a little more action in her life because she always follows the rules, and she does every single thing that her parents want her too. When she walks into Brian’s tattoo shop, she has no idea that her whole life is about to change.

Oh, Brian!!! I completely fell in love with him right from the beginning. He is super sweet and just down right adorable. Plus, he is tattooed and pierced in all the right places (swoon). Yeah, he is the total package in every way. Brian and Candace are both attracted to each other, but they have a lot of obstacles standing in their way. Can they come out on the other side, or are these two just living in two completely different worlds?

There are so many parts in this book that I absolutely love! Brian is seriously my favorite book boyfriend to date. The chemistry between him and Candace is off the charts. I literally couldn’t get enough of these two, and I need more ASAP!

never read anything from this author and was greatly surprised. Loved Brian,Candace was a work in progress. She annoyed me at times with her push and pull but overall loved their love story and the cast of characters. I will be reading the rest of series. To be honest,unless I adore the author or the series, I will not spend more than 3.99$ on an e-book. I really want to read the others,looking at u Ghost,and OMG,another follow-up on Brian and Candace. Wahoo.
I really liked this book but I did have a few problems with it.

Spoiler alert...I'm giving you fair warning to stop reading if you don't want to know a few key points of the book.

Ok you've been warned Can I say that I am so so so sick of reading books with 20 something year old woman that is still a virgin. I mean really!? It make me crazy. I don't care how sheltered your life is it is highly unlikely that you are good looking an great body and really into men and still be a virgin at that age. Not to mention I don't even enjoy reading about a virgin that age but apparently some people do or authors would stop writing about them.

So lets get beyond the vcard, I really didn't like the female lead very much...my goodness for crying out loud get a backbone. She can't seem to stand up for herself at all. It was really annoying. Another thing that made me really mad was the part where Brian (the male lead) had something bad happen to him (don't want to spoil it by telling you what it was). During that whole time Candace is not by Brian's side helping him at all. I think it would have been much better if she was standing by him helping him in his time of need. I really felt like I was reading about a 16 year old girl instead of a 20 something year old girl. It just seemed as though her and Brian were of a completely different age range.

I also found her friend Macy totally annoying as well so I am completely uncertain that I want to read the next in the series knowing that it will focus on Macy as the lead. Although I find sometimes a character is portrayed one way in one book and then portrayed better in another book.

So why did this get 4 stars? Brian! I loved his character so much. Once again I didn't care for his character that much in Unleashed but I loved him in Rock Me. I would have to say the author should have a different guy on the cover because that picture doesn't really match his description at all. Brian was delicious, interesting, caring. Such a good character. He totally made the book.

So I would read this book but be prepared to be annoyed with Candace a bit. Probably read Unleashed first if you haven't read it just to understand the Evan and Kelsey's role in this book.
I love this series! These can be stand alone novels, so enjoy just one or buy them all as I have done...I read this one and then went back and read Unleashed, which is the first in the series; Now I am hooked!
Evan and Kelsey in Unleashed were best friends and they ended up going down different paths in their relationships, experiencing the ultimate betrayal when Kelsey's husband gets busy in her bed with Evan's fiance.
In this novel we have innocence and manipulation being used by over bearing parents and dominating older brother messing with Candace, and she is 23 and wants to declare her independence, starting with having her cousin's ex, Brian give her a sexy tattoo. Brian met Candace when he was dating her older cousin, Melissa and was so taken with her smile and uniqueness that he nicknamed her, Sunshine. Never feeling worthy of someone as special as Candace, he never allowed himself to even dream of having her for his own. Candace has never been able to think of anyone but Brian and so part of her plan is to seduce the man of her dreams.
As she works to create a future for her and Brian she brings in the turmoil and destruction that is associated with her parents and brother that nearly destroy them before they even get started building something. Brian is able to use what hope Candace gives him to make the changes in his life to make room for their future and negotiate a truce with her family, of sorts.
For me, this one is much better than book 1, specifically because Brian's a better person than Evan is. By the end of this one Evan is less an ass. I liked this plot better, the way Brian and Candace each have shit to work through. In particular, I adore Brian's tenacity. This is a story of a man who's bettered himself but remains all too aware of his flaws, and a woman who has to stand her ground with her family and with this man she loves before she can grow into the woman he needs.

There were two extraneous sex scenes, wasted space in the plot. Is there some number of these per book the publisher required or something? This aspect's exactly the same as the first book.

As I doubt the author can top Brian as a character, I can be done with this series now.
